We stayed in Gayborhood (love the name <3) and were surrounded, I mean surrounded, by things to do. We stayed at our first Sonder property, here on Juniper St. and walked everywhere. There was a lot nearby where parking was super cheap (compared to NYC parking rates).
My partner is a HUGE Anthony Bourdain fan, so surprising him with a “No Reservations” Philly Food Tour was a no brainer. I found Will and his culture and food tour on AirBnB and he didn’t disappoint. Thankfully the weather was perfect because we walked and ate for the better half of the day. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend the experience.
While in Philly, I was able to link with some friends who live in the area for dinners. We hit Bank and Bourbon with Shira of Blackgirlworldtraveler.com and linked with Chef Drew and went to D’Angelo’s Ristorante Italiano.
We also made a day of the local African American Museum, and Love City Brewing (a local brewery with outdoor seating), all walkable from our Sonder stay on Juniper.
